High-Grade Coloration of the 1925-D Indian Head Quarter Eagle
The coloration on high grade, original 1925-D Indian Head Quarter Eagles is generally excellent. The hues seen most often are coppery-gold, rose-gold and deep yellow-gold. It is still possible to find a piece with good color without a huge effort.
The level of eye appeal for the 1925-D varies greatly. Most do not show an especially good strike, but this is compensated for by nice color and luster. If the collector is patient, he should be able to locate a 1925-D Quarter Eagle that is attractive.
To qualify for the Condition Census, a 192 -D Indian Head Quarter Eagle must be Mint State-66.
